Tälli Oy is a Finnish family company, established in 1979. We manufacture components from high-pressure laminate and wood materials as a contract manufacturer based on the designs and requests of our customers.

Since the beginning of the 1970s, our family business has manufactured wood- and laminate-based products for the needs of various sectors. Our high-quality components and services are reliable and serve as a basis for our customers’ growth and contract manufacturing strategies. Our customer base includes small and large companies from the construction, shipbuilding, furniture, healthcare, food and woodworking sectors.

Formica IKI Oy’s brand IKI has been a popular choice in Finland for decades. The brand has a strong market position and a large base of regular customers in the construction and woodworking sectors.

‘IKI is synonymous with quality’

IKI sheets have been manufactured since 1952, when G. A. Serlachius Oy started its operations in Kolho. Later, the G. A. Serlachius Group became known as Metsä Serla. The Kolho factory is the only high-pressure laminate factory in Scandinavia. After Formica IKI Oy stopped its cut-to-size operations in 2010, Tälli Oy took over the business and its development.

Formica IKI Oy is part of the global Formica Group, which joined the Dutch Broadview Holding B.V. Group in 2019. The acquisition extended our laminate product family with several laminate brands. Trespa is a well-established Dutch laminate facade panel manufacturer, whose top-class products complement the Finnish Vivix facade panel line. The large European worktop manufacturer Westag & Getalit AG joined Broadview Industries AG in 2018, as well as the Italian laminate product manufacturer ARPA Industriale S.p.a. ARPA is known for its FENIX product line based on nanotechnology.

‘Not all laminates are IKI sheet, but IKI is the one that lasts!’

IKI sheets are high-pressure laminates manufactured according to the EN-438 standard. Today, the word ‘laminate’ is used extensively, and the variation in quality and prices on the market is great. Microlaminate materials, low pressure laminates and roll laminates are not the same as high-pressure laminate. It pays to read about the technical properties of products before making purchasing decisions.
