In the last two decades, we have manufactured tens of thousands of components for ships built in Finland and refurbished around the world.

The batch sizes for cruise ship cabin fixtures are large, and the work is complex. We provide production capacity for cruise ship cabin fixture manufacturers, offering shaped and speciality edgebanding for all lot sizes.

For example, we provided furniture doors with bevelled edgebands for the passengers cabins of the Costa Cruises ships built in Turku, Finland.

Poplar plywood and Foam poplar panels enable the manufacture of fixture components that are up to 30% lighter for shipbuilding and refurbishing. Poplar can be used for fixture components in the same manner as particle board or MDF. IMO certificates can be provided for the poplar panels.

In 2020, we provided the Celebrity Constellation cruise ship’s first ever poplar fixture components. The lighter material produces direct savings in fuel costs and helps to manage the ship’s centre of gravity.

Labelled components can be loaded on a pallet in the order requested by the customer.

Packing components according to the order in which they will be used makes finding the right components easier at the shipyard or terminal.
