CNC milling and 5-axis machining
The basic CNC machines are used to produce straight and bevelled shapes. 5-axis machining enables the production of more complex shapes. Brochure of standard worktop machinings can be find on the brochures -page.
Shaped edgebands, rounded edges and finishing
Components to be edgebanded or different shape components are manufactured with a CNC work centre that has an edgebander in addition to the 5-axis machine. The edgebands are attached with industrial-grade PUR adhesive. In addition to the gluing, the machine can handle rounding corners and finishing the workpiece. For shaped pieces to be edgebanded, the customer is usually required to provide the design as a .dwg or .dxf file.
A CNC bevel edgebander is a rare machine
Not many CNC bevel edgebanders are available for the use of the woodworking industry. Tälli Oy’s bevel edgebander can handle all the edgebanding a traditional shape edgebanding machine can, but it can also be used for the complex job of industrial and efficient bevel edgebanding. Our bevelled edges have an angle of 22.5 or 45 degrees. A bevelled edge profile can be produced for panels 18–30 mm in thickness.
